Project Overview

The LAFARGE Micro Housing Video was created to document and communicate Lafarge Cement Indonesia’s initiative in supporting small enterprises across several areas in Lhoknga and Leupung, Aceh. The program was designed as part of a broader effort to improve the community’s quality of life after the tsunami, helping local people rebuild not only their homes, but also their livelihoods.

Through a documentary approach, the video highlights how access to micro funding can create meaningful impact for small business owners. In cooperation with Bank Perkreditan Rakyat, the initiative provided loans for local entrepreneurs, giving them an opportunity to restart, grow, and contribute back to the local economy.

The Brief

Lafarge needed a video that could present the program with sincerity, clarity, and emotional relevance. The story was not only about financial support, but about resilience — how communities affected by disaster could regain confidence through practical assistance, local enterprise, and long-term empowerment.

Our approach was to keep the storytelling grounded in real people and real places. Rather than creating a purely corporate communication piece, the video was shaped as a human-centered documentary that brings forward the faces, voices, and daily realities of the people behind the program.
